UC Student Health Insurance - University Health Services

Please note that the below information is only applicable to students with Student Health Insurance.  Appointments can only be made by calling 513-556-2564 (dial option #1).

Primary Care

There is no charge for primary care.  Primary care extends beyond preventive services to include women’s health, lab work (medically necessary), and x-rays.  There is no limit on primary care visits to UHS.  Please refer to the below links for more specific information regarding care.

Mental Health

There is a 0% co-insurance due for mental health visits.  This may change dependent on services received.

Pharmacy

Prescriptions are $15/$30/$60, for tier 1/tier 2/tier 3 drugs.  You can call the pharmacy at 513-556-6091 for assistance with prescription needs.

Dermatology

Services are available to students only by referral from a UHS provider. Referrals can be made with a provider at the Student Health Clinic at either the main or medical campus clinics.  There is a 20% co-insurance per visit, and typically ranges from $16 - $61 dependent on services received.

Dermatology provides examination, treatment, and follow-up for routine skin problems requiring dermatology services. This service is by appointment only, and are only available at the Lindner location.

Immunizations/Vaccines

Please note that there may be age restrictions, or other regulations that apply in order for these vaccinations to be covered. Please contact the clinic to verify availability. Below is a list of covered vaccines/immunizations available through UHS.

  • Influenza
  • Tdap or Td (Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • HPV (Human Pappillomavirus) - restrictions do apply
  • Pneumococcal Conjugate
  • Pneumococcal polysaccharide
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Meningococcal A, C, W, Y
  • Meningococcal B
  • Typhoid
  • Polio
  • Rabies
  • Japanese Encephalitis
