Meet the GRR Course Directors

whitney-bryantWhitney Bryant, MD, MPH, Med, CTropMed

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Bryant is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. She completed her MPH and MD at Columbia, her Emergency Medicine residency at NYU-Bellevue Hospital, and her Master's in Medical Education here at Cincinnati Children's. She co-directs the departmental Section on Global Health, runs the third year medical student Emergency Medicine clerkship, and the Intern Report Program for the residency, where she focuses on helping build confidence, knowledge, and skills among the interns as they begin their residency. She has worked as an emergency physician in Ghana, Guatemala, and Guyana.

 

daniel-gawronDaniel Gawron, MD

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Gawron is a second year emergency medicine resident. He was born and raised in Michigan and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. He then completed medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, DC before coming to Cincinnati for residency. His interests include sports medicine and medical education.

 

anita-goelAnita Goel, MD

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr Goel is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati. She is a Cincinnati native, and attended undergrad, medical school, and residency all in Cincinnati. Her academic interests include education of medical students and early resident training. She also works with the Medical Student Scholars program with the College of Medicine to help develop medical student skills in a more longitudinal fashion. Outside of medicine she enjoys riding horses and spending time with her husband and her two young children.

 

andre-goldenwAndrew Golden, MD

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Golden is a fourth year emergency medicine resident who grew up around Chicago, IL. He attended Purdue University for his undergraduate education and the University of Chicago for medical school. His academic interests include medical student education, specifically in the areas of curriculum development and feedback and assessment.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Hello! I'm Jared. I am is a fourth year emergency medicine resident. I am originally from Texas, but brought by a circuitous journey to Cincinnati, which I'm now proud to call home. My professional interests include neurocritical care, ultrasound, and medical education. When I'm not at work you might see me out putting miles on my running shoes as I train for my next race.

 

michael-klaszkyMichael Klaszky, MD

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Klaszky is a fourth year emergency medicine resident who was born in New Jersey, and completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Rutgers University. He then completed medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA before starting his residency here in Cincinnati. His interests include critical care and clinical education, specifically in bedside clinical teaching as well as ultrasonography.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Li is a third year emergency medicine resident who grew up outside of Atlanta. He attended Emory University for his undergraduate studies and Drexel University for medical school. His interests include prehospital emergency medicine, medical education, and simulation.

 

james-liJason Nagle, MD

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Nagle is a fourth year EM resident. He grew up in Southern Illinois and went to Notre Dame for undergrad. Prior to medical school at the University of Michigan, he was a high school teacher in the Mississippi Delta with Teach for America. He is looking forward to teaching and helping transition the students to become amazing interns!

 

christina-pulvinoChristina Pulvino, MD, MPH

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Pulvino is a 2nd year resident. She moved around a lot growing up but went to undergrad at UW-Madison. Before attending medical school at Tulane, she was a high school chemistry teacher in New Orleans with Teach For America. Her interests now include public health and clinical education.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Roblee is a second year emergency medicine resident. She is originally from St. Paul , Minnesota but grew up mostly in southern New Hampshire. She went to the University of Connecticut for Medical school. Outside of medicine she enjoys running, hiking, and traveling. 

 

ronanSarah Ronan-Bentle, MD

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Ronan-Bentle is the Career Advisor for Senior Medical Students in the College of Medicine. She is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed residency in the University of Cincinnati's Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ronan has been an educator throughout here career and is particularly interested in helping senior medical students transition to being successful residents.

Emergency Medicine Resident

Dr. Shaw is a reformed ski bum who grew up in the wilds of north Idaho prior to wandering west for medical school at the University of Washington. He aims to split his time between the medical ICU and emergency department as a clinical educator.

Dr. Urbanowicz is a second year emergency medicine resident.
