Rotation Director: Kerith Spicknall, MD
The dermatopathology rotation provides exposure to a high volume (150-250 specimens per day) and diversity of skin pathology. Residents attend sign out at the multi-headed microscope during the morning hours. The afternoon is reserved for didactic sessions, unknown sessions and self-directed learning. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous slide sets available for study. Residents are invited to attend any clinical dermatology didactic sessions that occur during the rotation, including Dermatology Grand Rounds (which allows for excellent clinicopathologic correlation).
