Chest pain, problems breathing, fainting, choking, bleeding, seizures and many other alarming conditions can occur during times when we may not be prepared. Knowing what to do can save a life. There are a few simple things that you can do to be prepared
in advance in the event that you should ever be faced with a medical emergency.
Due to COVID-19 related changes in services, CAPS is not currently offering in-person crisis services. We offer 24/7 phone crisis access to students who are in need of immediate support through telephone consultations or after-hours crisis support. These services are accessible by 513-556-0648 and selecting the appropriate options.
If you want to discuss your concerns about a student with a staff member of CAPS, call our main line 513-556-0648 and request to schedule a consultation. We will listen to your concerns and provide specific guidance and advice tailored to the situation. We may suggest such approaches as:

Students and members of the UC community concerned about students have access to care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
