Once admitted and confirmed into the MPH program, all international students will be required to complete the Graduate Placement Test for Master of Public Health (GPT-MPH). The purpose of the GPT-MPH is to evaluate whether international students' oral English proficiency and academic writing competency meet graduate-level expectations and to provide evidence of the types and levels of language support these students may need in order to achieve academic success.
*Confirmed international students who have received a bachelor's or higher degree from a country where English is the official language may be exempted. To learn more, visit the Automatic Waiver of English Language Testing
Entry to the United States (US) after the MPH program start date is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the Port of Entry Officer at the airport as well as the admissions department of the MPH program. In general, a student is expected to arrive at least one week prior to the start of classes to attend the mandatory in-person program orientation.
