The UC Center for Integrative Health and Wellness offers Student Wellness Retreats and Mind-Body Skills Training Courses to support student wellness. See below for additional resources from the UC College of Medicine.
Bearcat Support Network
Bearcats Support Network (BSN) empowers University of Cincinnati students to create an inclusive community and support each other’s identity, mental well-being, and day-to-day lives through peer-facilitated groups and bi-weekly community events. BSN is led by trained students to address and promote students’ emotional and mental well-being in an accessible, conﬁdential and inclusive environment. Groups are open to all medical students.

Student Wellness Committee
The mission of the SWC is to offer a system of academic, social, emotional and psychological support to the students of UCCOM. The SWC is made up of a faculty advisor and student members who are nominated by their peers. SWC members provide 24 hour peer support by phone, text or email at 513-301-0336 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The SWC also sponsors wellness related activities throughout the year.

Integrative Medicine Student Interest Group

This group provides a forum for medical students to learn, challenge, explore, share, and experience Integrative Medicine through sponsorship of speakers, practical workshops, and discussions.
Students passionate about creating healthful meals.
In addition to bi-annual cooking with Dr. Giffin
sessions, students have been working to organize a new

Wellness Resource Room
Practice mindfulness meditation, breath awareness, and mental concentration and focus with biofeedback programs intended to increase one’s ability to effectively manage stress and anxiety. The room is equipped with a massage chair, light therapy, aromatherapy, and meditation cushions. It is designed to promote a serene and calming experience where medical students can recharge, relax, and practice Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques.

Free Auricular (ear) Acupuncture for Students
Sessions provided by UC Health trained practitioners in collaboration with UC Center for Integrative Health and Wellness. Acupuncture can help reduce, alleviate, and even prevent many ailments including stress, anxiety and depression among others. Session sign up links will open a week prior to each event. Students will be given email notice from UC COM Student Affairs prior to the sign-up opening. Learn more about auricular acupuncture.
Medical Student Yoga Classes
Offered in collaboration with the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness.
UCCOM Student Wellness provides free yoga classes for medical students. Classes are offered on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from January through May. Classes are held in the MSB and are open to all medical students. Certified yoga instructor, Meredith McGraw, teaches the classes.

UC Student Wellness Center
The Student Wellness Center empowers students to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellness by providing evidence-based education, inclusive resources, and non-judgmental support. They offer an extensive collection of resources and information about various health and wellness topics.
The Student Wellness Center is located on the 6th floor of Steger Student Life Center, directly above Starbucks. The Center can be accessed quickly by the elevator located outside and inside of Starbucks or the outdoor stairwell.
