Mindfulness in the Workplace
The Workplace Mindfulness team at UCIHW offers a range of programs for organizations and professionals. These customized curricula use evidence-based mental resiliency skills for increased associate well-being, productivity, emotional intelligence, and capacity to manage stressful situations within the workforce. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
MBSR is a formal, 8-week course that teaches evidence-based tools for managing stress, reducing pain, and improving well-being in a supportive group setting. MBSR is open to all in our community, including patients, students, faculty/staff, and anyone who wants to learn more about mindfulness and building your own personal mindfulness practice to reduce stress and improve well-being. Mind-Body Skills Program
The Mind-Body Skills Program aims to proactively address mental and emotional health in students, faculty, and staff. A focus on preventive self-care techniques and mindfulness training gives participants tools to manage stress and find balance, ultimately creating a more efficient and effective working and learning environment. The 9-week Mind-Body Skills course offerings vary by semester and are typically open to students and faculty/staff. The 3-day Mind-Body Skills Facilitator Training is open to UC faculty/staff and community members who are interested in bringing the Mind-Body Skills program to their own companies/institutions/groups.
