The College of Medicine has awarded Core Enhancement Funding to: Xiang (Sean) Zhang, PhD, research assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Health and manager of the Genomics, Epigenomics and Sequencing Core of the Center for Environmental Genetics, led by Shuk-Mei Ho, PhD. Zhang was awarded $18,800 for his "Validation of Infinium MethylationEPIC Assay for DNA Methylation and Hydroxymethylation Study."

This funding provides existing core laboratories with pilot funding to pursue targeted technology upgrades and thereby advance the core support capabilities offered to the UC research community.
