OverviewTechnology is advancing faster than ever before, and the same is true when it comes to health care – patient-focused technologies increasingly integrate telecommunications, information systems, personal computing and more. Areas such as telemedicine, telehealth, e-Health, and mobile health (m-Health) grow rapidly, becoming highly effective tools in health care delivery.
A collaborative effort between the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing, this certificate program engages individuals in experiencing the extensive ways in which telehealth is utilized to provide care, as well as teach the business and operational aspects of telehealth to a wide variety of individuals, including physicians, residents, nurses, allied health professionals, information technology specialists and health care administrators. The courses are steeped in content that provides a road map of implementation for both novice and seasoned professionals.
