Faculty who have been awarded external grants of $100,000/yr. or more in direct costs are recognized in the Gallery of Awardees. Besides celebrating our successful investigators, a brief synopsis of the award goals and pictures of the faculty are included on the announcement so that other faculty interested in potential collaborations or seminars by our researchers can contact them.*It may take 2-3 months before the Gallery of Awardees recognizes new awards due to the processing of data.

Grant Writing Support

Grant Pre-Review ($200 for internal reviewers, $300-$500 for external reviewers)-Applications due: Rolling deadline.CoM Grant Pre-Review Program supports the refinement of scientific projects and grantsmanship of proposals from CoM faculty prior to official submission of a grant application to a funding agency. Faculty may submit grants to be reviewed at any time during the year. However, applications need to be submitted 60 days prior to the actual grant deadline to allow for a thoughtful review and time to respond to the suggestions by the reviewers.

R Club Grant Program- The goal of the R Club is to improve grantsmanship by promoting clarity of thought and logical presentation of an R01 research proposal for submission to the NIH, so as to have the greatest impact on fundability. The R Club will provide early career/junior investigators with:

  • Workshops outlining a step-by-step guide on how to construct a Specific Aims page and a competitive R01 Proposal.
  • Proposal examples and templates of supporting documents.
  • Constructive feedback on a Specific Aims page.
  • For a select cohort, comprehensive proposal content edits and feedback from a grant writer.

For the October 2022 NIH deadline, the R Club Grant Program will start early August 2022.For the 2023 (February, June, and October) NIH deadlines, the R Club Program will start November 2022, March 2023, and July 2023, respectively.
