Neurosurgery Student Shadowing

The Neurosurgery Student Shadowing program at the University of Cincinnati Department of Neurosurgery is designed to help individuals get a glimpse into the subspecialty of neurosurgery.  Individuals over the age of 16 may apply. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the outpatient clinic setting, including the duties performed by the health care worker they are shadowing. Undergraduate students will shadow a neurosurgery attending physician and high school students will shadow an Advanced Practice Provider for 1 day (maximum 8 hours). There are shadowing availabilities on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. Shadowing begins at 5:40am.

To apply for a day of shadowing, please complete the application form below and submit a copy of your CV/resume, one (1) letter of recommendation (from a teacher or mentor). Submit verification of Flu shot and TB test to Sarah Hall at hall4sd@ucmail.uc.edu.

Once your application is complete someone from our office will contact you.
