Dr. Sandoval Cabanas completed her residency in Med-Peds at our home program in June of 2022 and will be serving as our 5th year Med-Peds Chief for 2022-2023! She was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, where she was accepted into the BA/MD program. She is the first in her family to achieve a doctorate degree.  She currently lives her best Med-Peds life practicing both inpatient and outpatient medicine for children and adults. She precepts in our Med-Peds Hoxworth Clinic and supervises residents on internal medicine and pediatric inpatient wards at Cincinnati Children's Hospital as well as the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She is passionate about medical and financial education for students and residents, and is a strong advocate for the wellbeing of our residents. She has an interest in primary care medicine and looks forward to the lifelong relationships she is going to build with her future patients. In the not-so-abundant free time she now has, she is enjoying going on weekend trips, kayaking, working out regularly, studying for boards, and salsa dancing.
