FAQs
I am experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Can I get tested at SRFC?
No. If you would like to get tested, please check the Health Collaborative’s testing page. These tests are available at no charge to anyone, regardless of immigration status. The Ohio Department of Health’s collection of testing centers is another resource with testing locations in Southwest Ohio.
I am an undocumented immigrant. Can I be seen at SRFC?
Yes. We do not ask or check for immigration status. Additionally, we can make your visit as smooth as possible by offering translation services if your first language is not English, or you are not comfortable speaking in English.
I have a chronic condition, like heart disease or diabetes, and need a refill on my medication. Can I come to SRFC for a prescription?
We primarily see patients with acute conditions at SRFC. We recommend talking with your primary care provider, or the physician who wrote your prescription, about this need. You can also check the Affordable Cincinnati Clinics page for a list of clinics which provide chronic care. If you still need help, please contact our clinic for more information.
Can I be seen at SRFC if I am between jobs and do not currently have medical insurance?
Yes. If you were on employer-based insurance while employed, but do not have medical insurance at the moment, you are eligible to be seen at our clinic.
I am visiting the Healing Center with my family. Can my children also be seen if I have an appointment?
We see adults without medical insurance at SRFC. Unfortunately, we would be unable to evaluate your child. If you are having trouble finding medical care for your family, please consider checking other clinics in Cincinnati on the Affordable Cincinnati Clinics page. Please contact our clinic if you need help finding a long-term family care provider.
Do I need to schedule an appointment to be seen at the clinic?
At this time, we do not schedule appointments. We have walk-in visits. We are working on an appointment scheduling system and will update this website when appointments are available.
I am interested in being seen, but do not have a vehicle for transportation. How can I reach the Healing Center on Saturday mornings?
The Cincinnati Metro Bus system provides low-cost transportation to and from the Healing Center in Springdale via route #78. This route’s schedule can be found on this page.
