Your Interview Experience at Cincinnati Medicine

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine has implemented a comprehensive virtual interview experience that includes multiple components designed to evaluate candidates thoroughly while providing valuable information about our program. Each component has been thoughtfully chosen to assess key pre-medical competencies that support UCCOM’s mission and values.

Interview Format

The 2026-2027 interview season features an enhanced virtual interview experience with new components designed to better showcase your qualifications. Interview details and instructions will be posted on your personal Application Status Page, if you are invited to interview.

Interview Experience Components:

Informational Webinar:

All applicants invited to interview with UCCOM must attend the Inside the Interview informational webinar before participating in any other interview components. Hosted by the Associate Dean of Medical Student Admissions, this session provides an overview of the interview process and UCCOM's approach to admissions.

Kira Talent asynchronous Interview:

• Candidates must complete a 6-question asynchronous interview through the Kira Talent Platform
• Interview videos will be reviewed by trained professionals
• Completion of this interview is required to advance to the 1:1 interviews

One-on-One Interviews:

• Applicants will participate in two 1:1 interviews, via Microsoft Teams, one with a faculty member and one with a current student
• Applicants will receive specific scheduled appointment times
• Participation is contingent upon completing the Kira interview
  

Interview Experience Reminders:

• Candidates should dress in professional/business attire for all interview components
• Candidates must ensure a strong, reliable internet connection for all virtual components
• Candidates are NOT permitted to record/share any part of the interview experience in any way and must agree to nondisclosure of all interview content and scenarios
• Candidates must complete all interview components independently, without assistance from others or AI tools
