The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center's research efforts span multiple departments within the College of Medicine as well as the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy,
College of Nursing, College of Engineering and McMicken College of Arts and Sciences.
Inter-departmental, disease-based research teams collaborate on basic, translational and clinical research projects. Researchers have access to robust core research facilities, including a preclinical imaging center, comprehensive tissue and blood bank, high-throughput screening capabilities and compound library for drug target screening, proteomics, bioinformatics and more.
Researchers have access to services and support through the University of Cincinnati's Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST), the academic home of the UC's institutional Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Advancing Translational Science. The center provides support to investigators on research design and implementation, grants for young investigators preparing for career development awards and other services.
