Medical School Tuition
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine tuition is set annually by the Board of Trustees of the University of Cincinnati. MD students pay 10 semesters of tuition during the four years of the standard academic program according to the following schedule:
- Year One: 2 semesters
- Year Two: 3 semesters
- Year Three: 3 semesters
- Year Four: 2 semesters
Students are assessed tuition based on their state of residency as determined by the university. Information about the process of being reclassified as an Ohio resident for purposes of tuition assessment is available by going to UC's Registrar website. A helpful video on Ohio residency for tuition purposes is also available.
OHIO RESIDENTS: Full-time tuition & fees in 2021-22 are $16,490 per semester. The annual total for first-year MD students is $32,980*.
NON-OHIO RESIDENTS: Full-time tuition & fees in 2021-22 are $25,622 per semester. The annual total for first-year MD students is $51,244*.

Ohio residents who leave Ohio to attend undergraduate college in another state should submit the Ohio Residency Application even if they return to Ohio immediately after graduation.

Residents of Kentucky are eligible for the Kentucky Metropolitan Rate equal to Ohio in-state tuition plus $300 per semester. The Kentucky Metropolitan Rate Application must be completed and returned to the University of Cincinnati Office of the Registrar
