Community Advisory Committee

UC Brain Tumor Center Research is generously supported by community members through the BTC Community Advisory Committee.  Organizing major annual fundraising events and through philanthropic donations, the Community Advisory Committee works to ensure that BTC Research develops and delivers new therapeutic options for Brain Tumor Patients and their supporters.

Endowed Research

Generous gifts from the Huffman and Schott Foundations have endowed research positions in the Brain Tumor Center.  These gifts accelerate research to discover new treatments for tumors derived from the cells of the brain, as well as tumors that spread to the brain from distant locations.

Walk Ahead for a Brain Tumor Cure

The WalkAhead for a Brain Tumor Cure is an inspirational 5K walk/run held in October of every year, with over 2,800 participants including patients and their families, caregivers, and researchers.

Sip, Savor and Support Virtual Auction

The Eggstrong Foundation supports the Brain Tumor Center through events such as the Egghead 5K, in recognition of Jeff Eggleston, previous member of the Community Advisory Committee.  Visit the Eggstrong Foundation to participate in their ongoing fundraising events!
