In 2024, the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) strengthened its commitment to cancer prevention and education by participating in 47 community events, reaching 2,691 community members with cancer prevention education.
These efforts focused on lung, prostate, breast, colorectal, and HPV-associated cancers, along with risk reduction, survivorship, and other cancer-related topics. By partnering with local organizations, COE helped connect individuals with essential resources, screenings, and support services.
A highlight of the year was the first annual Healthy Together: Cancer Community Stakeholder Retreat, bringing together community members and organizations to enhance collaboration and strengthen cancer prevention efforts.
