The NGP congratulates fall 2022 graduates Adam Dourson, PhD, and Sam Woodburn, PhD.

NGP Student-Faculty Retreat

Our annual retreat was at the Newport Aquarium. We enjoyed an interesting panel discussion on career prospects for PhDs and fascinating insights into new research. There was even time to mix and mingle with the penguins, sharks, and rays!

Congratulations

UC's Art of Science competition was held on October 5. The contest encouraged artists to find their creativity by upcycling materials from their lab/workspace into art pieces. The NGP's Evanson Lab took third place for their contribution, "Beauty in Trauma."

Alicia Bedolla and Shelby Hetzer were each awarded an Albert J. Ryan Fellowship, a two-year award for graduate students with strong academic achievement and research potential.
