The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) is committed to addressing the unique health challenges of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities through education, outreach, advocacy and service. Our purpose is to celebrate Asian culture and to foster awareness of health issues in the Asian-American community. 

The Association of Native American Medical Students (ANAMS) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCCOM) is dedicated to supporting Native American and Alaska Native medical students. ANAMS fosters a sense of community, promotes cultural awareness, and provides opportunities for mentorship, service, advocacy, and professional development.

The UCCOM chapter of Black Men in Medicine (BMIM) is committed to supporting and empowering Black male medical students. This chapter fosters a sense of community and belonging, provides mentorship, and promotes professional development and networking opportunities. By addressing the unique challenges faced by Black men in medicine, BMIM aims to enhance representation, support academic and career success, and advocate for systemic change within the medical field.

The UCCOM chapter of Black Women in Medicine (BWIM) is dedicated to supporting and empowering Black women medical students and professionals. This chapter fosters a supportive community, provides mentorship, and promotes professional development through networking and educational opportunities. By addressing the unique challenges faced by Black women in medicine, the chapter aims to enhance representation, advocate for systemic change, and support the academic and career success of its members.

The UCCOM Justice and Equity Commission (JEC) is dedicated to advocating for justice and equity among medical students, staff, and faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The commission collects and analyzes data to identify disparities and areas for improvement, presenting findings to UCCOM leadership to drive meaningful change. Through its efforts, the commission works to create a more inclusive and equitable environment, ensuring that all members of the UCCOM community have equal opportunities for success and advancement.

The UC College of Medicine's Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) exists to unite and empower current and future physicians through service, mentorship, and education to advocate for the improved health of the Hispanic & Latina/o/x community in the United States. LMSA promotes recruitment and retention of Latino students at all levels, educates medical students on Latino health issues, advocates for the rights of Latinos in health care and provides leadership opportunities for Latinos, and promotes volunteerism in the Latino community.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, Asexual & Allies (UCCOM PRIDE) in Medicine is committed to exploring and serving the unique needs of LGBTQIA+ students, physicians, patients, and supporters. We provide a safe place to connect with other members of the community and tackle the most current and pressing health, education and career concerns.

The University of Cincinnati Minority Housestaff Association (MHA) was founded by a group of dedicated residents to support the advancement of underrepresented residents and fellows. The organization focuses on providing opportunities for mentorship, networking, recruitment, professional development, and community engagement, helping foster a strong, inclusive community among medical professionals.

The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is committed to supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students, addressing the needs of underserved communities, and increasing the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent and socially conscious physicians.

Further goals include disseminating information pertaining to minority student concerns in medical education, sponsoring programs to encourage the entrance of minorities into the health professions and raising levels of minority recruitment.

SNMA is dedicated to ensuring that medical education and services are culturally sensitive to the needs of diverse populations and to increasing the number of African-American, Latino, and other students of color entering and completing medical school.

The UCCOM chapter of Giving a Boost offers free and accessible individualized peer support for aspiring UCCOM medical students throughout the admissions process. We provide personalized guidance and chapter help applicants present their best selves to admissions committees at every stage, from application to interviews. This initiative fosters a supportive environment where students can receive tailored advice and feedback, enhancing their chances of success and promoting a more equitable and inclusive admissions process.
