Major Change Admissions

Transition students (major changers) are students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate programs in other University of Cincinnati colleges (including UC Blue Ash and UC Clermont), but want to change their program (transition) to the Public Health program (either on-campus or online) through the College of Medicine.

Major Change Admissions Requirements

Admission to the Public Health program as a major changer (either on-campus and online) is generally available for students enrolled in other colleges of the University of Cincinnati if they were admissible directly to UC Uptown from high school and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA (UC and any prior institutions combined).

Students who were NOT admissible directly to UC Uptown from high school must have the following in order to transition into the Public Health program:
  • At least 24 semester (36 quarter) hours earned
  • At least a 2.0 cumulative GPA (UC and any prior institutions combined)
CoM Public Health Program Transition Session

Students interested in changing to Public Health must meet with an academic advisor before their application is fully processed. To meet with an advisor as a major changer, students attend a CoM Public Health Program Transition Session.

Already attended?
If you have already attended a Transition Session and are ready to change your major, please complete the Application for Change in College and Program Form. You will be contacted via your student email once your form is processed.
