UCCC Among Best Accruing Sites for Clinical Trials

The University of Cincinnati Cancer Center has been cited by NRG Oncology as being the fourth highest accruing main member site for cancer clinical trials during 2020.

NRG Oncology is a non-profit research organization formed to conduct oncologic clinical research and broadly disseminate study results for informing clinical decision making and health care policy. It brings together the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). UCCC is one of about 125 main members of the organization.

In total, the UCCC Clinical Trials Office coordinated more than 100 actively enrolling interventional clinical trials in 2020, involving more than 160 participants to cooperative group clinical trials, 60 participants to industry-sponsored clinical trials, and 133 participants to investigator-initiated clinical trials.

Among the leadership team for the UCCC is UC MSTP Alumna, Trisha Wise-Draper, MD, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology, and medical director of the UCCC Clinical Trials Office.
