How to Apply

The Vascular Surgery Residency Program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center offers one categorical position for every academic year. The Vascular Surgery Fellowship program currently offers one fellow every other year. The surgical residency program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), and adheres to the dates and deadlines set forth by the NRMP. All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Application Requirements:

  • ERAS application.
  • Personal statement.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Dean’s letter.
  • USMLE Step I and II.

All offers are contingent upon successful completion of the credentialing and hiring processes prior to the start date. Credentialing requirements include, but are not limited to, obtaining appropriate licensure to practice medicine in the State of Ohio, verification of medical school graduation, and any previous residency training, verification of any previous medical licenses and the passing of a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
