Seventy-two University of Cincinnati College of Medicine faculty and 13 physicians and advanced practice providers who serve patients at UC Health, the college’s affiliated health care system, have been ranked among the top 1% of clinicians in the nation for having the best patient satisfaction scores.
Receiving the honor are (those with an asterisk also have been honored in past years):*
Also honored were UC Health physicians Jeanne Kavinsky, MD, Emily Muntel, MD, and Lina Nasr-Anaissie, MD.
The ratings are defined by Press Ganey’s Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CG-CAHPS) survey, a nationally standardized tool to measure patient perceptions of care delivered by a provider in an office setting. Specifically, these rankings apply to the CG-CAHPS survey question that asks patients to rate a provider on a scale of 0 to 10 (10 being the best score possible).
The 85 clinicians ranking in the top 1% in the nation received consistent scores of 9 or 10 on 30 or more patient survey responses in 2018. Press Ganey advises measuring against no less than 30 survey responses per provider to ensure consistency and accuracy.
