The Cancer Center's 11th Annual Charge Against Cancer will focus on “Understanding and Harnessing the Immune System for Cancer Prevention and Treatment." We will learn about host immunocompetence and immunosurveillance from different vantage points including allergic responses, iatrogenic immunosuppression, microbiome, exercise, diet, sleep, immunotherapies, chronic inflammation and stressors. The day will provide fruitful cross fertilization and knowledge transfer between disciplines. A goal will be to begin discussion on the feasibility of developing a reliable measure of host immunocompetence to allow assessment of the effects of environmental influences on immunosurveillance with associated cancer risk and disease progression.
A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided.
Road Closure: Riverside Drive is closed to west-bound traffic. You can enter T.M. Berry Friendship Park Pavilion if you are east-bound or via Baines Street, which is off of Columbia Parkway.
