Applications for the Biomedical Informatics PhD program are accepted between September 1 and February 15 of each year, for admission in Fall Semester of the following academic year. Applicants are strongly encouraged to work with the BMI Program Coordinator throughout the process.
Successful applicants to the program typically have a strong quantitative and/or computational background and a keen interest in biomedical informatics or a related discipline. Those with a major of study in areas such as biology, mathematics, computer science, bioengineering, chemistry, or statistics are well positioned to enter the field.
All application materials, including unofficial transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendation, etc., should be submitted by the application deadline of February 15.
