Dr. Lorenz wins pilot award

Feb 2024 – Dr. Lorenz won a College of Medicine Institute Pilot award to build a Comprehensive Cardiovascular Phenotyping Lab.

Feb 13, 2024 – Dr. Pilar Alcaide visited from the Tufts University School of Medicine. Her talk was “T cells and adverse cardiac remodeling”.

Dr. Herman to give invited lectures

Feb 2024 – Dr. Herman will speak on "Steroids and the nervous system" in Turin and give a plenary lecture at the American Geriatric Society/National Institute on Aging conference on "Stress tests and biomarkers of resilience".

Dr. Norman meets with White House drug czar

Feb 22, 2024 – Dr Norman and others from the College of Medicine met with Rahul Gupta, MD, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. The full story is here.

PSP PhD students publish their work

Feb 2024 – Anna Oliverio (left) and Kajol Thapa (right) were among the Fan lab authors on Bacterial extracellular vesicles in the regulation of inflammatory response and host-microbe interactions in the journal "Shock".

Sah group publishes in "Neurobiology of Stress"

Feb 2024 – They described Sex-specific threat responding and neuronal engagement in carbon dioxide associated fear and extinction: noradrenergic involvement in female mice.

Dr. Ma and the Wang group report in "Chemosphere"

Feb 2024 – The group describes Toxicity of low dose bisphenols in human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and human cardiac organoids – Impact on contractile function and hypertrophy.
