What does Kettering Fellow mean?

Kettering Fellow is a badge of honor that connects generations of our EIH alumni. Rooted in the shared experience of studying, researching, and growing within the Kettering Lab Building, it signifies much more than the completion of a degree. It is a testament to the late nights, the challenging coursework, the hands-on projects, built during your formative years. Being a Kettering Fellow means belonging to an enduring tradition of excellence, and remaining a vital part of the history that continues to be written in our building every day. When you are a Kettering Fellow, you carry the spirit of the EIH program with you, forever united by a shared dedication to protecting worker health and safety, and always connected to the place where that passion was shaped.

Congratulations to the newest Kettering Fellows (2026): Shawn Howe, MS; Amour Dondi, PhD; Efosa Obariase, PhD.

Tell Your Story

As we reflect on the rich legacy of the EIH, we realize our truest history is lived through the experiences of our alumni. From your favorite instructors in the classroom to late nights in the lab, your journey is a vital chapter in our story. We would love to hear about your favorite memories and personal stories, even with old photos. We will use it to compile a history of this enduring program, so we can preserve and celebrate the people who built the foundation we stand on today.
