Quarantine and Isolation
You isolate when you are ill or have been infected with the virus, even if you don’t have symptoms. Isolation is critical in keeping our campus safe.
At this time, the University is no longer requiring those exposed to someone with Covid-19 to Quarantine. However, for at least 10 full days after your exposure, you should take extra precautions:
wear a high-quality mask or respirator (e.g. N95 / KN95) at all times when indoors around others in your home or indoors in public,
monitor yourself carefully for any symptoms that could represent COVID-19, and get tested immediately,
even without symptoms, get tested at least five full days after your exposure,
be extra cautious around others who are more likely to become very sick if infected.
Symptomatic students and those that have tested positive must report in the COVID Check app. You will receive guidance on isolation.
COVID Check will notify you when it is safe to return to campus. You may not attend face-to-face classes or any university events until you have been released by a COVID Check team member. Please see the UC Public Health Website for current campus guidelines: https://www.uc.edu/publichealth/testing/quarantine.html; you can view the most current CDC guidelines at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html.
