Research Interests

Growth factor therapy in models of Parkinson's disease. Chronic stress-induced depression and Parkinson's disease. Organization, plasticity and neuroprotective roles of neurotrophic factors, particularly neuregulins and neurotrophins, in the normal and injured dopaminergic mesostriatal system. Modulation of trophic factor expression after stress, drugs of abuse, prenatal immune activation and blood-brain-barrier disruption.
