The training advisors are key to the success of the program. They were selected carefully on the basis of excellence in research, strong current national funding, a record in training pre- and postdoctoral fellows who have gone on to assume independent cardiovascular careers and an eagerness to train young scientists.
The research of the faculty is largely directed towards applying molecular, cellular and physiological techniques to understanding heart development, remodeling and function.
