The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine celebrated 177 new physicians at Cincinnati Music Hall on Saturday, April 18, during the annual Honors Day. The Class of 2026 was joined by faculty, family and friends to be hooded, receive honors and celebrate the end of medical school.

Among them were five graduates of the Medical Scientist Training Program, receiving both medical and doctoral degrees. Gurjit K. Khurana Hershey, MD, PhD, director of the Medical Scientist Training Program, and Philip M. Diller, MD, PhD, senior associate dean for educational affairs, led the hooding for combined MD-PhD degree graduates.
