Center for Structural and Adult Congenital Heart Disease
About Our Program
Development of the HLVI Center for Structural and Adult Congenital Heart Disease is a joint project with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). The Center has built a hybrid operating room for non-surgical valve replacements and repairs, minimally invasive coronary bypass surgery, and stenting of conduits placed early in life for the treatment of common congenital heart diseases. The Center will offer a 2-year fellowship program to enable trainees to obtain eligibility for board certification. Related research programs will focus on tissue engineering, valve and conduit design and contemporary imaging technology.
