Honors Day (Medical College Graduation)
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Honors Day is the annual ceremony at which members of the graduating class are hooded, signifying the completion of their studies for the Doctor of Medicine degree.
The speakers for the Honors Day Ceremony include the dean of the UC College of Medicine, a class representative selected by the graduating class and an invited guest to give the Honors Day Address. Student awards are given by the College of Medicine and by the college’s individual departments.
Recipients of the Daniel Drake Medal, the highest honor conferred by the College of Medicine to living faculty and alumni for their outstanding or unique contributions to medical education, scholarship or research, attend the Honors Day ceremony.
