Innovation in Kidney Care

The Nephrology & Transplant Symposium: Innovations in Kidney Care is a day-and-a-half comprehensive educational event designed to bring together leading experts nephrology, transplant surgery, and critical care. The symposium will explore the latest advancements in the management acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and provide cutting-edge insights into kidney transplantation, from organ preservation and donor selection to post-operative care and long-term outcomes. With a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and innovative therapies, clinical challenges, and emerging technologies, that are shaping the future of nephrology and kidney transplantation. This event is ideal for healthcare professionals committed to improving patient outcomes in nephrology and transplant medicine. 

Target Audience 

This symposium is intended for individuals in the nephrology & transplant community. The topics discussed will be of interests to nephrologists, transplant surgeons, nurse practitioners, social workers, pharmacists, fellows, and other specialists in kidney disorders and kidney transplantation.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify 3 biomarkers for AKI detection and implement 2 evidence-based management strategies for critically ill patients
  • Evaluate 2 advancements in immunosuppressive therapies and outline strategies to optimize long-term outcomes
  • Create care plans to better communication across 3 specialties to address emerging kidney care therapies and psychosocial challenges

Fellow Poster Presentation | Call for Abstracts

We invite submissions for poster presentations at the 2025 Nephrology and Transplant Symposium: Innovations in Kidney Care. This is a great opportunity to showcase your research or clinical case reports to a national audience of nephrology and transplant professionals.

Submission Guidelines:
  • Abstract content:Abstracts should highlight innovative research, clinical case reports, or novel approaches in acute
  • kidney care, nephrology, or transplant medicine.
  • Formatting: Include title, author names, and affiliations.  Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words, structured
As Follows:
  • Background:  Outline the context or significance of your study.
  • Methods:  Briefly describe the research methods or clinical approach used.
  • Results: Summarize key findings or insights.
  • Conclusions:  Highlight implications for practice, research, or future study.
