Associate Professor of Clinical Aff

Medical Director Clinical Lab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

Pathology & Laboratory Medicine | College of Medicine

Education/Credentials
  • Medical Degree: University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine
  • Residency: Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Fellowship: Barnes Hospital
Research Interests

Dr. Steele's research is directed toward defining virulence genes of fungi, particularly Histoplasma capsulatum.

He is developing molecular genetic tools to approach this problem (e.g., markers of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) transformation).

In addition, he is engaged in molecular genetic assays of human neoplasms, particularly leukemia lymphoma (e.g., gene rearrangement analysis, chromosomal translocation studies).
