Curriculum/Schedule
Each Fellow will participate in rotations at the following location:
- TriHealth Hand Surgery Center
- University of Cincinnati, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery / University of Cincinnati Medical Center
- Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
The Fellow will be required to attend three weekly hand conferences: 1) selected readings in hand surgery journal club; 2) didactic lectures; and 3) problem conference.
In addition, there are monthly dissections emphasizing anatomy and surgical approaches. The Fellows are encouraged to attend weekly Grand Rounds conferences in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati.
A completed research project including a clinical paper for presentation at the Tri-City Hand Fellowship Meeting and subsequent publication are expected during the 12-month Fellowship.
The program currently accommodates three Fellowship positions and is ACGME accredited and filled through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP).
Kevin J. Little, MD is the Program Director. Peter J. Stern, MD, the Founder of the program is also the Associate Fellowship Director and continues to have an active role in surgical and clinical education with the current fellows.
