About Diversity and Inclusion at UC

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) is committed to increasing the number of qualified underrepresented minority medical students, residents and faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

ODI is under the leadership of Associate Dean Mia Mallory, MD, and Assistant Dean Christopher Lewis, MD.

The College of Medicine provides a supportive and inclusive environment for all and welcomes diversity in every aspect of our daily operations.

The office interfaces with various departments of the college, the Greater Cincinnati community and national offices committed to diversity in medical education. The leadership team also works closely with medical students to ensure that each reaches his or her greatest potential.

In addition, the office works closely with the Office of Student Affairs to educate the entire student body about diversity issues and advising several student groups, including the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), the Multicultural Association of PreMed Students (MAPS), the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA).
