B. Career Development Opportunities at UC/CCHMC
(i) Careers in Biomedical Sciences Course
This two credit course is taught in the fall semester. Half the course provides training in areas related to a job search such as CV writing and interviewing skills. The remainder of the course consists of discussions led by PhD-level biomedical scientists (mostly UC alumni) who are employed in a wide range of private sector and government jobs (e.g. large pharma, small start-up companies, clinical trail management, intellectual property, EPA, NIOSH, local colleges and medical education). (ii) Preparing Future Faculty Program
This program prepares graduate students and postdocs for academic careers. It provides guidance for conducting a productive job search, development of teaching skills and input on how to achieve early career success. Preparing Future Faculty home page

These are arranged on a regular basis by the Vice Chancellor for Research. Students and postdocs are welcome to attend. There is usually a separate session dedicated to preparation of F31 and F32 fellowships
