Research/Clinical Interests

The Hassett lab is interested in pathogenic mechanisms of pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in chronic respiratory infections of cystic fibrosis patients. In particular we are specifically interested in evaluating the role that bacterial genes and proteins play in combating the severe oxidate stress endured by this organism.
