Research Interests

Skeletal muscle stem cells (MuSC) function to regenerate injured muscle and may contribute to muscle maintenance. Mitochondria are critical for cell metabolism, cofactor generation, and cell death but their specific functions in MuSC are poorly understood. We are investigating how RNA binding proteins regulate expression of genes important for mitochondrial metabolism and MuSC function.
