Artem Barski, PhD, focuses on epigenomics and transcriptional regulation of gene expression. While at Keji Zhao lab at NIH, Dr. Barski took part in the development of ChIP-Seq, a groundbreaking method that combines ChIP with the next-generation sequencing to map modifications and transcription factor binding sites with resolution and sensitivity far exceeding previous methods. Dr. Barski’s current efforts involve the development of  both wet lab and computational approaches to the study of epigenomics. Dr. Barski is a recipient of the NHLBI Career Transition Award (K22) and NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (DP2).
