The radiology department at the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, located on the second floor, provides the complete range of diagnostic imaging modalities.
Imaging Services include:
- Basic 2-dimensional x-rays
- Barium fluoroscopic exams, e.g. Upper GI (esophagus, stomach and duodenum), and Barium Enema (colon)
- Computed Tomography (also known as “CT scan” or “CAT scan”)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Radioisotope studies are performed in the nuclear medicine department, which is also located on the second floor of the hospital.
Mammography and radiation therapy are performed at the UC Barrett Institute at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Some interventional radiology procedures are performed at Cincinnati VA while others are referred to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
