McReynolds

Jayme McReynolds, PhD – Principal Investigator

Jayme received her BS in Biology at the University of California, Irvine and received her doctorate at the University of Texas at Dallas. She then completed her postdoctoral training at Marquette University with Dr. John Mantsch from 2012-2017 before becoming a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She joined the Department of Pharmacology & Systems Physiology in 2019 as an Assistant Professor. Her current research is focused on investigating the neurobiological mechanisms that mediate the effects of stress on addiction. Jayme is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive environment. She is especially passionate about promoting positive mental health and being an advocate for women in science.

Gaulden

Andrew Gaulden – Graduate Student

Andrew is a PhD student in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at UC. He has a B.S. in psychology from Furman University, where his undergraduate research focused on preclinical models of addiction. His research in the McReynolds lab continues this line of research, where he incorporates a broad range of techniques to understand the role of stress in rat models of substance use disorder. Andrew is currently working on projects that investigate the role of sex differences, neuroimmune response, and endocannabinoid signaling on cocaine seeking behavior.

Tepe

Erin Tepe – Research Assistant

Erin received her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati in 2020. She has experience in several research areas including circadian cycling, learning and memory, and addiction. She is involved in all aspects of the lab, but mainly focuses on behavioral experiments and analyses. Erin plans to pursue a dual Masters degree in Genetic Counseling and Public Health.
