Dr. Timme received his PhD in Physics from Indiana University in 2015 under the mentorship of Dr. John Beggs. He then completed his postdoctoral training in neuroscience with Dr. Christopher Lapish at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He was promoted to Assistant Research Professor in 2021. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Research in his laboratory focuses on the neural computations underlying decision-making in rodents, especially in the context of addiction.
