The clinical practices of the College of Medicine span the entire spectrum of subspecialty patient care. The regional, national and international reputation of these programs provides a rich environment to support our academic mission including medical education and scientific discovery.
The College of Medicine has a robust research program with funding from NIH and other federal agencies, foundations, biotech firms, clinical trials, and disease-based sponsors. The FY 2020 annual funding for the College totaled $134M. Trainees in the College participate in research through the 15 doctoral programs which with our research holdings contributes significantly to the classification of the University as a Research 1 institution, indicating the highest level of research activity.
