Vacation:

Each year full-time residents are entitled to 20 days of vacation and 5 days of sick. It is suggested that not more than three days of vacation be taken from any one month rotation; however, all attempts will be made to be flexible.

A resident is permitted and encouraged to attend at least one national meeting during the course of their residency, upon approval of the chairman and the residency program director. Each resident is allocated $1,000 annually for professional expenses. The chief resident's allocation is $2000 for one year of service.
