The Office of Medical Student Affairs also offers student wellness resources, some in collaboration with the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness including:
- Student Wellness Committee
The mission of the SWC is to offer a system of academic, social, emotional and psychological support to the students of UCCOM. The SWC comprises a faculty advisor and 12 second-year medical students who are nominated by their peers. SWC members provide 24 hour peer support by phone, text or email at 513-301-0336 or email@example.com. The SWC also sponsors wellness related activities throughout the year.

Practice mindfulness meditation, breath awareness, and mental concentration and focus with biofeedback programs intended to increase one’s ability to effectively manage stress and anxiety. The room is equipped with a massage chair, light therapy, aromatherapy, and meditation cushions. It is designed to promote a serene and calming experience where medical students can recharge, relax, and practice Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques.

Free Auricular (ear) Acupuncture for Students
Sessions provided by UC Health trained practitioners in collaboration with UC Center for Integrative Health and Wellness. Acupuncture can help reduce, alleviate, and even prevent many ailments including stress, anxiety and depression among others. Session sign up links will open a week prior to each event. Students will be given email notice from UC COM Student Affairs prior to the sign-up opening. Learn more about auricular acupuncture.

- Mindful Moments Drop-In Group
Offered in collaboration with the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness.
Experience techniques and develop concrete skills to promote a healthy mind-body connection. Learn breath/body awareness, sound meditation, adaptive coping, mindful movement and concentration and focus. This multi-modal approach introduces Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques.
