Scholarship Development Fund

Scholarship Development Fund for UC Family Medicine Faculty

To encourage and support scholarship by UC Department of Family and Community Medicine faculty, this department-wide competitive program rewards faculty members’ scholarly pursuits with up to $10,000 per year to plan, perform, and present scholarly work.

The Scholarship Development Fund is currently supporting four projects.

  • Uric Acid Levels Among Primary Care Patients with Prediabetes 
  • Transgender Provider Survey
  • Adoption of Telemedicine and Telehealth in Primary Care- What are the Barriers 
  • Automated Blood Pressure Monitoring in the Patient with Elevated Blood Pressure


Previous projects have been presented at multiple regional and national conferences and sought publishing in an array of scholarly journals.

Applications are accepted from interested faculty on an ongoing basis and are reviewed quarterly by the selection committee. Completed applications can be emailed to Mary Beth Vonder Meulen
