Faculty (Tracks)
Qualified Faculty Titles
Qualified faculty titles are titles in the Field Service, Adjunct, Research, and Clinical series. Faculty members with qualified titles do not have the right to request a review for tenure.
Unqualified Faculty Titles
All tenure track faculty appointments shall be identified by one of the following unqualified titles: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor or Instructor.
How To:
- Complete a requisition to
open position on People Admin (
www.jobsatuc.com/hr)
and complete the position approval process.
- Complete and attach the
Faculty Requisition Signature
Sheet to the People Admin requisition (scan and attach in the
"Documents Section").
- Following approval of
the requisition from search committee
- Following candidate selection
- Complete
A900 portion (Hiring
Proposal) of the People Admin requisition, attaching any necessary
documentation. Upon approval submit to Medical
Center Office of Faculty & Administrative Affairs
- Prepare candidate dossier for title approval and submit to
Medical Center Office of Faculty & Administrative Affairs.
5. Following approval, submit
initial letter of offer to Medical Center Office of Faculty & Administrative
Affairs

which details items that must be included as appropriate language in all
faculty appointment letters.

6. Following approval of letter of offer, submit new hire
documentation to
Medical Center Office of Faculty & Administrative Affairs.
*Please note that at this time, payroll requires an original I-9 and, therefore,
this new hire documentation cannot be submitted electronically
Non Faculty

Effective 8/06 the following language should be added
to all letters of offer regarding the
Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Non-Assistance to a Terrorist
Organization Form.
"As a provision of Senate Bill 9, Ohio’s
Homeland Security and Anti-Terrorism legislation, all applicants under final
consideration for employment with a State employer, must complete and return
in its entirety, the Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Nonassistance
To a Terrorist Organization Form prior to becoming employed. An answer
of “yes” to any question, or failure to answer “no” to any question, shall
constitute a positive response and employment will be denied."
